Fit Friday {exercise identity crisis}
Monday - Plyo/Strength
Plyo has high knees, jumping, lunges and sprinting. Basically it's everything I hate but know that I need to do.
Tuesday - Step and Sculpt
This class is my new favorite. I've said numerous times that I could never do step aerobics but I'm eating my words now -- I LOVE IT. We do 35 minutes of step following with 35 minutes of weights.
Wednesday - Strong Bodies
This class is Body Pump but with more concentration on form and heavier weight.
Thursday - FAST
This is our post's Crossfit. They can't call it Crossfit because they aren't affiliates but the instructor is awesome!
Friday - Strong Bodies
I haven't been to my Crossfit box in a few weeks. The reasons for this are numerous but it doesn't make me miss the friends I've made there any less! See, a few months ago I would have confidently told you that Crossfit was pretty much the only workout that made me happy or that I could stick to.
Then came a busy week when my mom was visiting that forced me to try some new classes on post...basically I really enjoyed myself. Thus, my exercise identity crisis.
Step class is a blast and plyometrics are brutal but they are the cardio that I really need.
At the Crossfit box I have to watch Rowan myself and when I run laps she can't see me and loses her mind. When she gets bored she wanders out of the kids room and I have to quit exercising to get her occupied. She was also watching upwards of 2 hours of TV a day in the car to and from and during the workout. But when I use the gyms near our house - I have child care at the gym or by {Husband} in the evening and it takes 3 minutes by car to get there.
Spoiled rotten. That's what I am!
I am going to inquire about a punch card or something at my box because I miss the girls there and I really love olympic lifting. In the meantime, I'm enjoying myself and I think the extra cardio has helped my weigh ins!

Ahh that's tricky working with child care, but glad you are still rocking it!
